A TNT title defense, two more matches, plus a face-to-face segment are set for the Wednesday, May 8 AEW Dynamite.

After successfully defending the TNT Championship against Buddy Matthews on this week's episode, Adam Copeland will put the title on the line against Matthews' House of Black stablemate Brody King on next week's show.

As Best Friends continue to implode, Trent Beretta will go one-on-one with Orange Cassidy on the May 8 Dynamite. Cassidy & Beretta were involved in a pull-apart angle on this week's Dynamite, with Cassidy blaming Beretta for causing career-ending injuries to Chuck Taylor in their parking lot fight on last week's Rampage. Don Callis was also inserted into the situation as he appeared to counsel Cassidy during the segment.

Following a backstage promo from Saraya & Harley Cameron on Wednesday's Rampage, Cameron issued a challenge to Mariah May for next week's Dynamite. May lost to Serena Deeb on this week's show.

Also announced for next week, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will go face-to-face with Christian Cage. Cage was revealed as Swerve's Double or Nothing title challenger on this week's Dynamite, with Christian and Killswitch laying out Swerve and Prince Nana.

The lineup for the Wednesday, May 8 AEW Dynamite so far:

  • TNT Champion Adam Copeland defends against Brody King
  • Orange Cassidy vs. Trent Beretta
  • Mariah May vs. Harley Cameron
  • Swerve Strickland & Christian Cage face-to-face
